Excited for the long weekend? Here's a list of things to do in Durham Region & Northumberland County this Canada Day Weekend.
City of Oshawa
Canada Day takes place at Lakeview Park on Friday July 1, 2022. The event kicks off at 2:00 p.m. and wraps up with fireworks at 10 p.m.
The event is set to include a midway, inflatables, a mobile art bus, live music and interactive family entertainment.
Town of Whitby
Canada Day starts at 6:30 p.m. at Victoria Fields Park, grab your picnic spot and take some pictures at the photo opportunities around the park.
Watch the performances and end the night with an amazing fireworks show along the waterfront.
Municipality of Clarington
Join us on July 1, 2022, to “Celebrate Clarington.” Let's come together and celebrate our amazing community at
Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex from 5 to 10 p.m. The event will include music by Alexa Goldie and Charles Street Band, children’s entertainment,
Soper Creek Wildlife demonstration, inflatable courses and games, a sensory break room, food vendors and fireworks to end the night.
Town of Ajax
The Town of Ajax celebrates Canada Day at Ajax Downs, 50 Alexander’s Crossing, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. From 2-10 p.m.
there will be a variety of activities including cultural performances, children’s games and activities, interactive experiences,
2 stages of live entertainment, community displays and exhibitors, sensory zone, food vendors, beer garden and a special fireworks finale at 10 p.m.
City of Pickering
The City of Pickering’s Canada Day celebration includes day and evening events. The day program runs from 12 to 5 p.m. at Esplanade Park,
and the evening program runs from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm in Kinsmen Park. Join us in the park for live entertainment, activities, games, food and more!
Township of Scugog
Canada Day is back with a bang at Port Perry’s Palmer Park, starts with opening ceremonies at 11 a.m. and caps off with a fireworks show at 10 p.m.
Peruse the artisan and food vendors stands, indulge in Old Flame’s award-winning ales, revel in the talent of live entertainment and watch new and
old corvettes cruise down Queen Street for the Support Our Troops Parade.
Municipality of Port Hope
For 2022, we are bringing back traditional event components, such as the fireworks display, car show and community gathering in the park.
The Canada Day Parade is also returning, but in a modified format due to construction on a portion of Walton Street.
Town of Cobourg

After a hiatus of two years, the Town of Cobourg, Cobourg Lions Club and Rotary Club of Cobourg have announced that the Cobourg Waterfront Festival will return in 2022.
